Bastion Hotel Maastricht Centrum

The room was good sized and complete with nailed window unable to stop outside wind and comfy beds, for instance. Lovely breakfast for all tastes with the Irish palet and an omelette station, for example...

Comfortable room, cost of parking reasonable.

Expensive for room only. Clients in adjacent rooms noisy during middle of night (4am).

Position/location and good breakfast

Expecting the car to be removed from hotel parking on check out even though many parking bays were still available for new customers and we would have removed the car a few hours later anyway.

Location. Bus stop right in front, 5 minutes walk from Markt where the townhall is with restaurants, bars, and, basically, everything.

Staff at the reception upon my arrival was a little bit unfriendly. But I didn't not feel offended. He probably had a bad morning.

The staff was not very courteous or helpful compared to other places we have been worldwide.

not enough parking, we chose here for the parking, ended up having to park across the street in the Phoenix parking which was very cheap and fine. Not all that great for the price, but safe and okay.

Request a room on an upper floor for better views and to avoid noise from the kitchen.

Good location, 10 min walk to the city centre, nice to have a smoking lounge in the hotel!

Checkout was very slow in the morning, only one member of staff on duty.

The location was good as was the provision of free car parking. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Access to free internet is good as is the availability of international TV channels.

The rooms were smart and tidy but rather small. The inclusion of plastic beakers instead of glasses in the room cheapens things somewhat. There were only three pillows in the double room (where was the fourth?).

I found the rooms on the small side, and the hotel a bit far out of town.

Good for a weekend, with Parking

Comfortable rooms, very comfortable bed and bathroom. Possibility to park out front (this is Maastricht).

The Bastion is located at the end of Boschstraat, just at the limit of the pretty side of Maastricht. On the other hand, you can walk down the street to the Markt in five minutes or so.

Everything was nice, the parking was nearby, the room was good sized and recently refurbished. The variety of choices for continental breakfast was outstanding. Location: the hotel was short walk to The Vrijhoft and Market Sq areas, the city centre and bus stops, and the main square. The view was nice, the service was brilliant. I came here for 2 nights and had a pleasant stay.

room cancellation issue

The staff was professional when I called about my cancellation. They reassured me that everything would be fine when I arrived. The location seemed convenient, and the lobby had a pleasant ambiance.

My experience was marred by the unexpected cancellation of my room.

We like the easy access to the hotel coming from the motorway A2 and the proximity to the center, 5 min.walk. That why we chose this hotel.

We had a room at the road side and you can hear the noise quiet good even with closed windows. Next time we will ask for a room at the rear side of the hotel.
